Context
Small file jobs live in an awkward gap: too trivial for a desktop suite, too specific for a general-purpose editor. MeowGen was the one-off starting point. The next version needed more tools without making the hub feel like another product dashboard.
Approach
I organized the hub around the job in front of you. Each utility gets its own entry point and controls, while the same quiet card system makes the growing list easy to scan. Most tools run in the browser; the flow is built around choosing the task, dropping in a file, making an adjustment, and downloading the result.
Outcome
The original one-off experiment has become a wider set of small browser tools. The interface stays focused on quick file jobs instead of pretending each one needs a full application around it.
Project details
- Evolved the original MeowGen concept into a broader utility collection
- Created a modular card system for lightweight browser tools
- Added utilities for image compression, PDF compression, circle crops, video compression, metadata removal, grain, icons, and generation
- Kept the interface simple enough for quick repeated use
- Built the refreshed version as a clearer, more extensible tool surface
